We want to change the world!
People have the right to food, education,
and a future.

For 10 years, Mapro Systems AB has been committed to trying to find solutions to mechanize African agriculture. The aim has always been to help the small farmers in the villages who are unable to buy a complete range of machines but needw something directly adapted to his farming and knowledge. Many projects have failed when they have come to Africa from the western world and "steered up the life" with machines and new technology. The projects have not been completed, knowledge has not been transferred to local farmers, and the effort has often gone to waste and everything has fallen back to where it started.
Mats Andersson has created MacTrac, a small, smooth and user-friendly tractor.
- Even the women can drive it! It may sound patronizing, but it must be remembered that most people in rural areas have no experience in driving a car or other vehicles. Then it's the women who do a lot of the job-intensive work in the fields. For MacTrac, Mats has then created a series of smaller tools such as plow, harrow, sowing machine (for all possible seeds) and weed processing options.
To the tools, the concept "MacTrac Farm" has been created. It is a settlement on a 100 hectare farm, owned and operated jointly by a collective of 100 people from the local population. It is all based on the fact that they will then be given training in organic farming technology to be able to produce food and technical training in order to start using the machine mechanically, which in the long term will allow them to grow larger areas. In organic farming, you cultivate a variety of crops to enrich the soil without artificial fertilizer, keeping animals that produce milk, meat, eggs and manure. This will together give people the opportunity for a living and a broader diet of both protein and vegetables. It will give them a better health and provide the opportunity for young people to live in the country side and not as today when they fly to the cities or to Europe where they are meeting an uncertain future.

MacTrac

This article in Dakar's daily newspaper is about MacTrac, the multifunctional machine that can revolutionize Africa's agriculture.
There is a woman at the wheel that drives the machine.
"This machine can be run by everyone," says inventor Mats Andersson. It's just forward and back so you do not have to switch. Then you have a great control of your work thanks to the view from the driving seat.

Interview with CEO of the Fiara Agricultural Fair.

The president of UNCAS in Senegal knows that the elderly farms in Senegal must be mechanized to increase the production of food. At the same time, it is important to get the young people to understand that there is a future in producing food and a life for those in the countryside. Mr Bobacare Cisse is the organizer of the annual agricultural fair held in Dakar, Senegal, where Mapro Systems has exhibited MacTrac with equipment.
